Workshops @ SC Surrey
🚴♂️ Bike Workshops & Cycling Adventures at SC Surrey
Inspiring confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of cycling
At SC Surrey, our bike workshops and cycling sessions aren’t just about fixing gears or going for a ride—they’re about empowering young people with practical skills, independence, and a sense of pride.
Led by Paul Bishop, founder of The Revolution Studio, a lifelong cyclist, qualified cycle mechanic, Bikeability instructor, and British Cycling coach, our sessions are packed with hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, and the kind of mentorship that makes a lasting impact. Paul's journey with cycling started on a family tandem, riding to holidays as a child, and eventually led him to racing across Europe and building bikes from scratch in his garden.
Now, he brings that same passion and experience to our students.
🔧 What’s Involved:
-
Bike Mechanics: Learn how to assemble, repair, and service bikes—from the frame up
-
Real-World Projects: Restore bikes and take pride as someone rides away on your work
-
Cycling Skills: Ride safely and confidently on the road, earning a nationally recognised certificate
-
Trail Riding: Explore the stunning Surrey Hills and learn how to ride responsibly off-road
-
Life Lessons: Teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, and independence
Whether it's the thrill of building a custom bike or the joy of mastering a trail, these sessions give our young people more than just technical knowledge—they gain a sense of purpose, self-belief, and a community.

“Cycling gave me so much growing up—skills, friends, and unforgettable experiences. Now, I get to share that with the next generation.”
– Paul Bishop
